Brand new Ps3 .. XD slim ..

So instead of paying 100$ to have my old PS3 fixed , I just bought the Ps3 Slim and I'm currently reinstalling games and stuff . I love the new look and the new interface , but I sort of miss the pimped out monstrosity of my old 60gig , so many memories ....
As for my old PS3 it's paper weight for now or I might as well try to fix on my own using YT as my guide . Any suggestions on what to do with it ? XD

I'm currently working now in our family owned Clinic , It's nice I get to be the boss , unlike when I used to work in a goverment which I was treated as slave , literally .XD
To my watchers expecting new art from me , well don't worry , I'm currently 40% on my new Dot pic , I just have to outline her 'parts' for now , I do take my time... XD
Also, if it's the heatsink that's dead, you can always get cheap parts from TigerDirect...

That and I wish the thing wasn't so damn expensive. Surely the idea of revising a model would be to add stuff? It seems all Sony have done since the thing came out was take more and more stuff out of it.
Why is it a waste of money?
The 360 is a waste of money mine died 3 times total.
