Life Update & Closing Commissions Until Further Notice
6 years ago
Howdy everyone.
Wanted to give you guys a little update of what's going on. Over the next couple weeks I will be moving to my own apartment now that I am more settled into my full-time engineering career. The preparation, moving, and settling takes a lot of energy and time to organize and pack all my possessions up, and I do not even have that much relatively. During this time, my ability to do most art will be pretty limited, since I will be working full time and working on my apartment in the evenings. I've also been going to the gym many times each week, as well as playing hockey once a week to try and become healthier. I've been attending the gym for about 2 months now with some results beginning to show, which is positive.
However all of these new adult responsibilities and activities has significantly decreased by time to devote to Source Filmmaker and other projects, and drained my creativity. Adulting is a lot more time consuming than folks let on. Most evenings I only have a couple hours of free time before I need to go to bed to get up for the next day of early morning work.
I will not be taking many commissions anymore, and will be very limited slots available if and when I do offer them.
It is not that I don't enjoy making commissions, but it's not fair to the clients when they have to wait months for a simple animation, or to watch my own projects rot that I wished you partake in. I will be completing my current batch of commissions, and will let you guys know when I open them again in the future. By all means if you are interested in one, you can send me a note or fill out a commission sheet (found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/commissions/mietere/) and we can put you on a cue for when I do open up once again. I will still keep the commission lottery fair when I do open for them.
With the new transitions in my life, my creativity has turned more to 3D projects in real life rather than digital, most likely caused by packing and organization and spatial design of my new apartment, and including working on a new costume for myself and improving my fursuits. I have many works-in-progress for Source Filmmaker and for commissions, which will be completed as a priority over new projects.
On a tangent, I have gotten a few questions from folks about my pup stuff and my involvement in the community. I try not to spam too much pup photography on Furaffinity for you guys, and instead will post the best on here and the rest on my Twitter (https://twitter.com/SkollNRag). I do not plan on stopping anytime soon, and have found great personal joy in the community: with new friends, helping raise my self-esteem and self-image while wearing the gear, as well as finding motivation to improve myself and help those around me as well. And let's be frank, a Pup Hood makes everything better. Prove me wrong.
If you'd like to hang out with me and other fun folks, whether it be furries or macros and Pups and more, feel free to join our telegram server here: https://t.me/joinchat/ExzkNkcFMzh4qJzn4zfVoA . Hope to see you there!
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave me a comment below. Thanks!

Take your time with your art, though. It's something you're supposed to enjoy making and sharing. <3
