Ever since I got into the furry fandom, mostly here on FA, I've encountered with many people in my life. Some of them are wonderful persons that happened to be my Friends, others were like known people that you see most of days, and others… aren't precisely the people you'd like to ask to hang out. And this journal is about this third type.
I'm not gonna say the name of the person I'm gonna write about, because of both you knowing who I'm referring to by this point and in respect for the person in question (after all, it's a human and as it is, it has a right for respect).
From the moment I graduated from high school,
darthtater342 (or Tate) and me became Friends and basically was the step one to a ever growing circle of friendship, but I happened to be closer to Tate the most. As the months came by, there was a third Wheel that wanted to be around both of us as well. It was pretty cute on the first days, just a guy admiring our work and wanting to become Friends with us. But then, things became a bit darker.
It's a Little sin I confess to do free art for some of my Friends who can't afford it, that I get silly with, for a special event, or just because they inspire me. I don't say it's a bad thing unless you do it properly, but this person became to do it with both of us ONLY. It was nice at the beginning, but then most of his gallery is pictures dedicated to us, mostly Tate. It was a bit annoying and we talked to this person about this behavior, and the fact that he has been drawing for a long period of time and still not improving at all. So, instead of doing what we advised to them, they kept doing the exact opposite with strength.
It all started when I found out Tate has broken up with an ex. During the whole emotional procedure, I needed/wanted to give him some space for until he's ok again cause it was more of his thing. Sadly, this person did the exact same opposite. Of both of us, it was Tate who was the closest to, believing my friend was ok again and ready to seek for other half of his life. This upsetted me to a point I didn't want to get close to him or send any message, cause I was in a belief this person and Tate were actually dating, and was using me as a tool to reach Tate so I won't get "left behind". Ever since then, I wanted to avoid this person not only because he kept sending notes over and over to see if I'm available for "friendly chat" as I didn't came back to Tumblr at all cause of this person (and that is also the main reason why I don't prefer the furaffinity note system that much), but also because he ruined the image of Tate's bull fursona for good. Mostly since it was the image I had from him and grew to like it, but now it's something bittersweet that doesn't feel good to use, so Tate got to use his German Shepherd form back, the first one he had.
Remember that I wrote about his art that 50% of his gallery is pictures of Tate's bull fursona and mine? Well it went real further, to a place no man shall ever go to. He began to suddenly steal ideas from either me, Tate, or other artists who features our fursonas. Then he moved to literally trace drawings me, Tate or someone else did, and it scaled up to stealing art directly from US. There's even a pic he stole that featured both of us, him and
RockytheProcy who btw got his claws into, but not in a way he did with me and Tate, thank god.
Mixing these last two paragraphs I finally reach to the boiling point. Last month, Tate has done a Pride themed drawing of his Gshep zona and did a flat alt of said picture, because Tate is also into flattening as I'm into fat. Yesterday, Tate was told this person literally traced that alt picture, replacing his fursona with the person's. Now that picture, and many other stuff this person has done over the years, has been reported to FA authorities to see if they can do something about it, we both blocked him, and then he decided to make the best idea he ever had. Throw an online tantrum and writing a full journal (probably larger than this one, cause I hadn't seen it yet and I refuse to look at it's profile) calling a witch Hunt uppon both of us and closer Friends.
The reason I am writing this down, and that I insta blocked him without any chance of talking to him previously, was because:
A) He's not a good listener. We've begged him to stop doing this kind of stuff and to move on to some people, but he doesn't follow any advice. I'm tired of dealing with persons who do the opposite to what they are told to do. It's disrespectful.
B) This person has been acting over obsessive with me and Tate to a sick level. Even forgiving Tate for personal issues my friend has been having, checking FA the whole time by the clock to see whenever me or Tate submit a new picture and be the very first person to comment and fav it, or using our characters without any consent of ours. I know you want to surprse us with gifts and stuff, it's grateful, but even for that there are rules.
C) What this person has done on his journal is not right, for anyone. It makes you look like a Little kid, it gives a bad image of us and the people who will believe this crap, it's filled with misinformation leaded by emotional rage without meditating about the words, its meaning and consequences, etc. And I know I'm doing the same thing over here, but my objective is not to hurt, but to let you guys know what's going on to get a bigger picture. That's all.
This is for all you guys: Whenever you see someone's having a toxic behaviour towards you, talk to that person immediately and make sure they won't do the same. I don't want to see you getting targeted on a tantrum-level journal like this. Prevention is the key.
And if this journal reaches the person I'm talking about, this is for you: We told you many times to stop. I don't know about Tate, but I need you to take this as a time for reflection for what you did, how you treated us and how you built your image to the rest of the internet. Sadly, we won't give you the chance to come back at us when you changed for good, not anymore, and I want you to think about it before writing down a shit letter to us. I don't know what's gonna be about you in the future, and frankly I don't wanna know, but this cannot happen again, to a person that is gonna hurt you a lot emotionally, or committing something that will have you kicked out of ANY social network you get registered to. Live with that.
