... Yes, I'm taking an entry, when I don't even freakin' WRITE any journals these days, to shamelessly advertise some of my favorite Phanfiction.
And I do mean PHANfiction. That is-- Phantom of the Opera.
The first I'm going to scream about is Of Threnodies and Roses (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2515015/1/Of_Threnodies_and_Roses). This is a modern retelling with a whole set of twists and all sorts of dark, disturbing fun. Not for fans of Raoul. Written by the talented and enduring Quiet2885.
The second is another story by the same author, this one is another Modern story, but not quite a retelling. This one has it's own plot, though it still involves kidnapping and a string of murder and mayham that make me giggle with delight. That right, it's When All is Lost (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2942105/1/When_All_is_Lost). Be prepared for some decent reading though, as it is 74 chapters but all worth it!
Another Awesome bit of fiction is Fraternite (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2238245/1/Fraternite) by Gondolier. This is a story that takes place after the events of the novel and is quite the mystery once you start to settle into the story. Again! I warn you that this is no one-shot. This puppy is a healthy 42 chapters long.
The last bit of story I will leave you with is significantly shorter with only 12 chapters, but not less haunting. This one is entitled Elainie (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1937888/1/Elainie) and follows the madness that slowly eats away at Christine in the opera cellars once she discovers a young girl that washes up on the banks of the lake. Haunting, it's worth scaring yourself to death for the beautiful writing style of the Scorpion.
I think that's all the blatant advertising for amazing authors I'm going to do right now. Now, go forth and read! =D
