Back from visiting family
Had a great time visiting my folks with my daughter this last week. We went to a few places I hadn't seen since I was a kid which was really interesting and fun. The Zoo there has changed so much, I only recognized two things while there and even my Dad was blown away by how much had changed. My daughter had a lot of fun, but the heat and humidity made it hard to spend time outside; the mosquitoes were way worse there too and she's now got so many bug bites, ouch! I did not get to writing my Anthrocon report yet, but I hope I'll do so this week.
In bad news, insurance won't cover the cost of repairs on my car because they said it was wear and tear and would have happened anyway; at least the original estimate was accurate so that's something. Also, my wife is going to need to get her truck serviced soon, it's really having some trouble going uphill and starting uphill is a slog. No idea what that will run, but at least, in the good news department, we own it outright now (paid it off right before we left). Also, my wife just landed another deal; as long as everything goes okay with underwriting and the appraisal, she'll bring in her third commission for the year.
More and more my heart trouble seems to be stress/anxiety related. I only had one incident during my trip and it was entirely panic induced (ironically occurred while watching Iron Man 3). Otherwise I'm feeling probably the best I've felt since this all started back at the beginning of June.
Notes, messages, and the like I owe people will be handled over the next few days as we get back into our normal groove.
