I only have my grandma (on my mother's side) left of my grandparents, and she is starting to get old now, so both my siblings, me, and my mother know her days are limited, and we try to make the best use of our time left with her (she has no illness or anything like that, but she is at an advanced age now. Something is bound to happen sooner or later).
It is sadly a part of the deal of loving someone. One day they are not going to be with us anymore, which for most is a painful experience. It is then important to cherish the memories you had with them, and keep onto items to remember them by, such as pictures. It's also important to remember that the pain is a good thing, in a sence, because it shows that the love you felt was real.
I feel ya Joseph.
May your grandmother rest in peace.
