Random thoughts episode one: Peter Puppy and D&D
16 years ago
So yeah, since I've recently been kinda obsessed with Peter Puppy I've been thinking, and had the following train of thought. In this fandom you see a lot of people with a crush on one specific character. Now, I don't have a crush on Peter. In fact, I've never had a crush on anyone. I don't exactly have a wish or something for him to be real. I just enjoy watching Earthworm Jim, and Peter's personality really speaks to me. But what if he were real? Well, then I would probably enjoy hanging out with him. Now, since I'm a bit of a geek, hanging out with friends for me means playing videogames (LAN-parties), playing boardgames, playing poker, playing D&D. Maybe watch the occasional movie, but that's about it. Then I tried to imagine what playing a D&D session with Peter would be like. I can't help but feel he would be absolutely bored to death. I mean, we are talking about a dog here who was anthropomorphesized by an evil cat bend on destroying the universe. He transforms into a giant monster whenever he is scared or hurt. His best friend is a giant talking earthworm in a supersuit. They have to deal with killer goldfish, talking crows, and a professor with a monkey on his head (or a monkey with a professor on his head) almost on a daily basis. There are talking snowglobes, furry trouts, eggbeaters and whatnot. His life is weirder then any D&D session I have ever played.
Guess it would have to be poker.

OP
I'm done with Monopoly. Serious boardgames play stuff like Diplomacy or Power Grid.
