Fan-art artists: Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse
15 years ago
Ok, I am all for fan-art. Its great. So yeah, it saddens me when I see ignored characters. One of the main drives I have for the Peter Puppy List is to give him more exposure, hoping other artists are reminded of the character and draw him on their own accord.
So, I had the idea of periodically mentioning ignored characters. Lets start with Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse. For those who don't know, they are cousins of Mickey Mouse. As can be expected, they don't get in trouble as often as Donald's nephews. And of course, like Donald's nephews, they are identical twins. They seem a bit more mellow. They have been around since about 1932, so it is not like they are new or anything. Now, I am far from an expert on these two, but I fondly remember them from the Donald Duck magazine. And boy, are they ignored. A search on FA yields 0 results, and on DA I was able to find a massive two pieces of fan-art! This is unacceptable FA! I mean, I don't think these are that obscure characters. They appeared quite often in the magazine. Any Morty and Ferdie fans out there?
