"So how exactly did you do it?" asked Owen looking over at the small framed Panda.
"And reveal my secrets?" asked Cody shock, and he shook his head at the titan of a Lion "You never learn do you?"
"There were no mirrors," said Owen "No curtains, no smoke screens... The entire University was actually gone!"
"So it seemed," said Cody in a singsong snicker.
"Five people ran through," said Owen catching the Panda's arm, and holding him back "You can fake people running into thin air."
"I've faked a ballroom's worth of people before," said Cody shrugging, and taking his arm back "Come on. Let the feeling of awe, and magic last."
The Panda continued on the way back to his dormitory. Owen caught up to him, and stood in his way.
"Owen, please," said Cody folding his paws together "My performance was for the fundraiser for fixing the damages you, and your gang, did to the library. Consider my silence, and efforts as payment for letting me keep my secrets."
"I'm just worried," said Owen "That last thing I'd want is for anyone to use your powers for bad."
"And we're back on that," said Cody unamused, and his arms fell down to his sides "Stage magic runs strongly in my mother's side of the family. I was doing slight of hand since I could crawl. This is literally my whole life's, so far of course, worth of practice. I've put Hudini to shame countless times in a single night... Please, Owen. On behalf of my grandfather's honor, my whole mother's family even... Let this magician keep his secrets."
"..." said Owen nodding "... Just one more trick. I want to see if I can figure something out."
"..." said Cody thinking about it, and Owen gave him his baby doll eyes "Oh alright." Owen smiled, and Cody raised his paws. "Emit rof deb! Noij em, fi d'uoy ekil."
He snapped his fingers, and vanished in a puff of smoke. Owen wanted to look around for him, but something landed on his face. Holding it out, he saw it was Cody's underwear.
"..." thought Owen confused, and his eyes widened with mischievous sparks.
He hurried to Cody's dorm room, knowing the Panda's final words were "Join me, if you'd like."
