My urologist took the stent out two months ago to see how that would go since my kidney function was pretty much stable and it shouldn't be blocked any more.
Yesterday I had an ultrasound to look at the kidney, followed by a visit with said urologist so he could over that with me right there... which was honestly a pretty surprising gesture. Anyway, long story short, he said the stent can stay out.

So there's a victory there at least. The sad part is that he also said I don't have to see him any more unless my oncologist says that I need to. Maybe I got too caught up in the routine of things or something, I dunno.. he's a good guy and a good doctor to boot. So I'll miss seeing him.. a little anyway. :)
