G'DAY MATES!
Asriel's study time is just around the corner. All I have to do now is just add the sound.
Now...This is only my 12th attempt at SFM. It's not really THAT hard...just tacky at certain times. I mean, it's good...but like my friend puts it, very unpolished. I mean, the fuckin thing says [Beta] at the top right every time I open it. Now back to what I was originally going to say about this animation.
So, It started out VERY smooth and nice, but the more I did with it, the more it kept glitching. The default time for SFM is 60 seconds. And you CAN extend it, but it sometimes leads to problems. Like for instance when I extended it, Asriels fingers would stop being able to move. I could move every thing else about the model...just not his fingers. Which really pissed me off because now his hands just look super static. Oh well, Fuck it I thought, Im just going to have to get creative with my camera angles. THEEEEEEN the lighting started glitching out. AAAAAAAHG! The progression of my animation just really made me upset and frustrated because It looks so neat and smooth at first and then the quality just goes downhill. I know some will say it still looks good and I really appreciate it. I'm just really critical when it comes to creations I make to share to the world. I want it to look perfect (I took 4 years of Film Production in High School where I was the only student to take the class seriously. Everyone else didn't give a shit). Now I'm not BATSHIT crazy over it...Just upset knowing I could have done more or done better. But, we all have to start somewhere right?

Ah! A fellow film student! I'm liking you more and more! Also I can definitely relate to your struggles. One of the things I hate about 3D Animation is that you're constantly fighting the program to make it do what you want. And not just in SFM, but Maya, Blender, and all the others. It really took away the artistic freedom for me, thus the reason I mainly stuck with 2D. However, I'm glad that someone like you is making great strides in the 3D world. Keep up the good work and know that anything you make is greatly appreciated!
