Rawr! Hello everyone!
I had a really great time with my boyfriend Czero in Germany. We got to do so many fun things together, and we have made so many fond memories. Some of the highlights of our stay together were attending BFD 9 (Bavarian Fur Dance 9), which was in Nuremberg, going to Italy and visiting GlowingSpirit, and finally attending the EAST furry convention in Suhl.
Visiting Nuremberg was great because we got to see a lot of historical sights as well as party with a bunch of German furries! They sure know how to have a good time. Then in Italy, GlowingSpirit did a wonderful job showing us around certain parts of Italy. We got to see Verona, Lake Garda, Sirmione, Mount Baldo, and several other lovely places! Finally for EAST, we drove up to Suhl where we had a nice relaxing time with all the furries there, enjoying the convention greatly.
Aside from this, just simply spending time was Czero was great. We got to play through almost the entirety of Zelda Breath of the Wild, including finding all the shrines and getting pretty much all the best armor. I also watched Rick and Morty with him, so now I am caught up with that! Plus I got a good taste for what it's like to live in Germany, and it's certainly much different. The most important thing is that I learn the German language, and I've been practicing a whole lot with that.
Unfortunately, the summer wasn't all just fun and excitement. I had several losses to contend with, but I have already come to terms with it. My grandmother from my dad's side of the family passed away and so did my grandfather from my mom's side of the family. In addition, one of my cats passed away and another cat went missing, presumably eaten by a coyote. It certainly feels a lot different, and I have a new perspective on life. Us humans only have finite time on this world, so we should cherish every moment we spend together, and we should make an effort to show compassion to those we love.
At some point, Czero and I want to move in with each other, and I am hoping to eventually find a job in Munich so it will be possible. But for now, I have started my first full time job ever! I am currently working as a Software Engineer in downtown Chicago. It's kinda exciting working in the big city as most of my life, I always stayed in the suburbs, only visiting the city on occasion. It's neat having a taste of the city life, and so far I am loving my job. Everyone is really nice and the work there is fun and interesting. I am already excited to go back! The only thing that would make it better would be to shorten my commute which is currently 90 minutes. However it isn't too bad considering most of the time I can simply relax on the train.
Anyways, just wanted to let you all know how everything is going. Thanks for reading!
