That is very true! Since I am in Germany, I figure, never hurts to help ask the locals, sometimes they can offer gems google and yahoo maps cannot. But yah, I am seeing with those offer me as well. Never hurts to ask eh! ^__^

in düsseldorf is a japan street with some book stores but of course only for manga and other japanese printings.
hmmm *tries to remember when I was there*
ahhh there is a comic shop near the main station.
you go out of the station from the main exit and then cross the street. then you go right. after some meters you go left (there's a cafe or so too.) and after some meters it is on the left side.

In Essen there's a huge but very hidden fantasy shop - they have role playing games, miniature games and the like, not so many comics, I fear, but I love to hang out there. It's called Fan'Encounter or short: Fan'En.

There are comic shops, too. I know one in particular I love to browse, but I forgot about the name, I just find it by walking by - they have a lot of belgic and french comics, too, so european stuff, and also american comics.

I would love to meet with you and show you the places, but I will be off for Scotland on Monday. If you really want to visit those places, I recommend getting in tocuh with my mate  tybalt_the_friesian, We met at Eurofurence, btw. We both were part of the bred-and-cheese party around PatriX at Wednesday evening.

You're looking for comics in Germany? Little off the toursits guide but whatever builds your stable Me, Id be all over any WWII sites/museums I could....Course theyd have to keep me from drooling on them but Id still go! ^_^~

All I can remember about my trip to Germany was that I wondered around one of the markets there and found a nice little comic shop.... I forgot were the hell it was though >.< The only other thing I remember was the Sex Museum in Amsterdam O.o hehe that was fun....

Oo" Seriously, I don't know about Comic Shops in those cities, but I am living very close to them. If it might be helpful for you, I'd be glad coming to there and paying you a visit, as well as talking to another artist would be awesome =D Also since having a German guy with you might be help with asking people, I guess XD
