Question for you!

Do you tell your family / work / friends that you are a furry? Or do you keep your private life and work separate?
Let me know! I'm very curious how people think about this. I self don't tell my work and family it (they are rather biased) ^^'

I don't see why it should bother anyone.
And yeah that's a good point to
Furry is not very well accepted around the circles I live in. Having space to be more open would be nice though.
Fandom is pretty much underground, I never saw anyone talking about it, so guess we are all locked in our own closets when it comes to it ^^;.
im more interested in how you're living the batman life :O
And yeah, it's that my family are not so close and live fair away where i live. So yeah...
But my family hates it to the level they thing its something wrong, so going to furcons is just covered up by "normie" vaccation, even here at last EF they think that. Not because i wanna hide it, but they just dont seem like they accept the hobby of mine, and i find it easier to avoid conflict by not just telling
On the job its kinda hard to hide 2 tattoos of "cartoon animals" but i do usually just say that they are excatly that, a few from work knows about the furry thing and they also know about suits and cons and honnestly think its kinda cool that i dare to be who i am and just have this little wierd thing
Im not trying to hide it, but neither do i show it to people, if someone figures it out and ask me about it, im honnest and tell them what it is and what the fuss is about. Its a fun but different hobby,
As for the rest of my family, I think some of them have an idea. Some of them know I'm a Brony at least.
My sister knows I'm a Furry, and I think she's more educated on what Furries are.
But for the most part, I don't think my family really cares.
I worked as an Intern, and my boss knew I was a Furry. Though I had to explain to him what a Furry was before that. But he was okay with it too.
My friends and classmates throughout grade school, high school and college knew I was a Furry, and they had no problem. Because again, for the most part, they didn't care. It's just part of the culture here in the Philippines. People don't understand it, don't know it, and don't care about it. So you can be a Furry, Brony, Nazi...whatever subculture you are...and no one would really care.
But in general, I'm VERY private about my personal life, I try not to let my personal interest interfere with my work or family. Every now and then it does come up, but for the most part, I don't tell everyone at first meet that I'm a Furry, not without reason.
