UPDATE 1 :

Quick update on my mom. She was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.  As far as they can tell, it has not spread anywhere else. She is on heavy chemo and radiation to shrink it so they can do surgery to remove it.  Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers and your support. Mom and I and the rest of our family greatly appreciate it. Will keep updating as she goes through treatment.

I have some bad news. I just found out today my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. She has to go next week for more testing. Hopefully it has not spread anywhere else. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
