Hey dudes, just an update on my personal life for y'all.
If someone is somehow unaware, I'm nonbinary and came out online in June 2018, but I was only out to three people irl (Knight-Riot, KittyKat-Dawn, & Ruger-The-Red-Panda). As stated in a recent status post, I just came out to my immediate family a few days ago, which was absolutely terrifying because my parents have always been somewhat transphobic (not hateful, just very misunderstanding), and I had no idea how they'd take it. Since we're Christians, the transgender issue is a bit of a controversial topic as the Bible never directly addresses it, and there's a lot of debate as to how it should be handled. Obviously, my personal beliefs are that gender and sex are separate, and God intentionally makes people who's gender and sex don't match, sometimes falling between male and female, and that these individual's identities are not inherently sinful.
My parents however, are not sure where they stand on the issue, but I'm trying to help them better understand it, and they've already become much more understanding and accepting than they used to be. Essentially, my mom believes that sex and gender are the same, and I'm just a tomboy, but she wants to help improve my dysphoria so I can feel more right in my identity and my body, even if she doesn't necessarily support it. Please do not attack my parents for their views, they are not hateful in any way, and they're trying their hardest to understand this issue so they can have a better understanding of how it relates to our beliefs.
So, we're currently working on finding a good psychiatrist that I can meet with so I can move forward with my transition, and we're planning to discuss it with our pastor as well. I'm currently planning to have a partial hysterectomy and top surgery (bilateral mastectomy) within the next year or so, after I get to my goal weight. I was 185lbs in August 2018, I'm currently 150lbs, and I'm aiming for 105lbs. I do not currently have plans to start HRT, and I have absolutely no desire to have any sort of bottom surgery so please do not ask about that, thank you.
So uh yeah, please don't start discourse in the comments or I'll block you.
You're welcome to have your own opinions and views, but this isn't the time or place for them.
I hope your family can get more educated and comfortable with how you want to live, too.

Also good luck with your weight goals and future surgery too, you do what you need to do in order to be happy and comfortable. You deserve it!
Also, I have the Christian Anarchism symbol tattooed on my neck, so this is something I'm very passionate about haha.
