In light of Paypal being a headache with its absurd fees, I will be switching over to Square starting October 1. For those unfamiliar with Square, it operates similar to Paypal and does not require an account to make payments.
However, to my knowledge it currently only takes credit card payments. [Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover]
Clients still requiring Paypal services are encouraged to communicate as such as invoices will be primarily sent out through Square in the future.
Square also only operates in the currency respective of the seller's country. This means clients will see invoices from me in CAD [Canadian Dollar].
For sake of consistency, there will be a currency switch on my website to reflect Canadian prices. Prices up until now have been listed in USD [for the sake of convenience for most of my clients]. Clients will be able to see this change as my website will declare "prices listed in CAD" instead of USD on the header of the commissions page. Prices will switch roughly based on the exchange rate from the current USD prices.
All future commission and adoptable openings will have the currency listed in their postings to alleviate confusion.
Commissions and adoptables will continue to be Paypal only until the month rollover.
