State Of The Wolf

It's been a while since I did anything on here: life has been "interesting" in the fashion of that old Chinese curse, but at least progress has been made:
All of the dental shenanigans are completed, aside from healing up from the three wisdom tooth extractions. The kidney-stone procedure is some time in the future, but I think I want at least 6 months of *not* recovering from something before I run through any more medical procedures. At least the news post heart-attack has been good, I've been reduced to a maintenance dose of the blood-thinner and my blood-pressure has been at a normal healthy level.
Artistically, despite not posting anything here, I have been doing quite well; if you pop in to my streams on Picarto I've actually gotten quite good at starting and getting pieces to a semi-completed level. I'm just continuing to have issues with getting them to a level I consider completed enough to *post*. Hopefully I can start making that more of a priority at some point soon; I really need to, the piles of "almost done/ready to scan" art are getting *enormous*.
The hunt for a new job and a house continue, balked by my indecisiveness, procrastination, fear of change, and each other; my job doesn't pay enough, seems unlikely to pay enough, and so I really should find another job...but should I find one here, or move and find one elsewhere? And if I intend to move then buying a house here is pointless, but I may have to move if I want to find a new job, but the apartment is expensive and too small, so why not buy a house and round and round it goes.
Also on the "to-do" list are starting up a Patreon to support some of my other hobbies - don't worry, I won't be going full paywall, the idea is just to make something available to folks for a small amount and they get some nice perks and "early access". Also a couple books in the planning stages: a "sheep" book (god knows I draw enough of the bleaters), a "skunk" book (skunks are a new-found fascination) a "how-to"book that kinda happened by accident, and of course one or more new "sketchbooks" like the ones I've released previously. I may even look into digital books for the ease-of-distribution, but I remain wary of them since piracy remains ever an issue.
So that's how things are at the moment! If you have any questions, idea or suggestion, let-fly! I can't promise I will answer them all, or that the answers will be in any way sensible or useful, but I'll do my best!

Glad to hear you're starting to feel better!
Packing to move can take a while if you want to do it without stressing out, so you might consider completing a box or two a night of the things you can have inaccessible for a while. Once they're boxed, they can be put in a room, or a POD, not as a long term storage solution but as a step to moving. The POD can be stored, then moved to wherever you decide to end up.
Job searching then becomes a possibility, you can search both locally and in other states for something that would pay what you need. Once you get a job, you can look for a place close to it, and buy that, then move your POD close to that and unpack it.
The only time this breaks down is if you find a new job within a couple miles of your existing one, in all other cases you are likely to find something further away, so being ready to relocate closer to the job is an advantage. It also allows you to get an apartment in a new city, while you try to get a house in a desirable location/price-point, and keeping your stuff while not being overwhelmed by it because you're in a tiny place.
I had to move 4 times in a six month period, then again two years later, and moved a couple people during that time, so if you'd like more thoughts I have some.
Skunk books and bleaters sound neat.
I know you mostly do tech, but I'd say look north up 75 in the Sherman area, and also north up 35 as well. Real Estate prices are still low in those areas. I just don't know how the job market is.
Maybe see if you can find a job that'll let you telecommute most of the time?
Good luck!
Just drop me a note.
