I play magic, though I've been on a bit of break from it as of recent. I also modern is my usual format.

I did play modern earlier, but after Faithless Looting got banned idk what should I do with my Vengevine/Hollow One deck ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes! I especially adore altarted fairies - they all different, but each looks so perfect Q^Q

Many of the Knights or the Royal Scions are more up my alley ^ ^
And the way they've 'fixed' equipment also butters my bread

Got to sit in and play a normal sealed at my shop Friday and it was a blast!! Went 4-0 with a w/b/g midrange sort of deck. Stolen by the Fae + that sorcery that gives all your creatures +1 counters was the mvp ^^

Definitely my favorite set in a long, long time. Reminds me of Lorwyn in the best way, and all the themes are so on-point! Everyone seems to be having a great time with it :D

I did play r/b/g on first day and w/b/r on second. Lot's of removals or lot's of bombs, that's what you need on this prerelease IMO.

Yup yup! It's one of my very favorite themes, and I'm always so happy when Wizards goes that direction with their sets ^^

And definitely. This set seems somewhat light on removal compared to others too, so grabbing what you can is gonna be a must. Can't wait to draft it!

I don't enjoy drafts myself, but there are so tine store in city where I am living, so it seems that I need to visit it to get cards.

I don't really play MTG a lot, but I love the artwork that's created for the game.

I am a big fan of Selesnya and Simic styled cards, and most of the time, I play the game for the looks and lore. It's a super interesting universe. Didn't MTG:A release a few days/weeks ago?

I don't play MTG:A, so I don't know. But I bet it was hanging in open beta for a while.

I do really enjoy artwork and lore too Q__Q Wizards do an incredible job while developing their sets.

It's worth trying out, I think. Foxera just confirmed it left beta recently, so would make sense to give it a try now :D

My favourite is that all mythic cards have gotten an animation when cast, which looks pretty breathtaking at times (Impervious Greatwurm just breaks through the battlefield, for example). It's a very lovely game, with a pretty fair way of monetization.

Oh, and speaking of lore: I absolutely love the cinematic animations of Wizards they do for each set. They are in cinema-quality, and I wish there was an MTG movie someday.

Yup, their cinematics are better and better with every set. I don't like how casual were last one(with Garruk), but do love the quality.
I did take a look on it actually, just don't have that much time to play it in online, too. But I do enjoy animations for mythic cards as well. Looks like wizards proud of them too - nearly 3/4 of MTG:A trailer consists of cast animations :D

Tokens are relatively weak at the moment, since Field of the Dead Yarok decks cause people to run Legions End, unfortunately. Also Saproling Migration and Adanto, the First Fort rotated out... It's a shame, i like Selesnya Tokens.

Thanks for the hint. Though I do play casually and never participated in a tournament (because I don't think I am good enough for that by a long shot) and that means I am really limited in my knowledge about the game xD. I am used to losing most matches since I just use the cards that look the coolest, my tactic is mostly none-existant xD

While i consider myself knowledgeable about things like meta, I also ultimately only play in a casual manner as well. I haven't been to any kind of event in years. It's a respectable approach to the game, some people take it way too seriously.

I see! Well, I really appreciate the input, maybe I'll figure out a nice way to change my Selesnya deck up for a bit. It certainly helped, and maybe one day we meet on the field, planeswalker! :D
