Never occured to me

Having all my arts pulled from a certain artist, because it is copyrighted. Arts I paid money for, are prone to this. I guess I thought that if I paid for it, it is mine. As long as I do not go around trying to make profit from it. An certain grey area I think is an adoptable character. I did purchase everything to the character, didn't I? Displaying it free of charge, because I paid for it, is not acceptable? Suppose I should reconsider paying for arts if I can have any right to the arts revoked at any time and not be allowed to show it off in my own gallery. Seems a little strange to me.
Alot of adoptees should think about this.....
I would contact the seller and get an agreement in writing for the copy write of the works and characters mentioned. If they refuse to be provided, demand a refund. You -can- actually sue the artist for the copy write of the works if you wish. Especially if the language of the transaction indicated that you would have all rights to the character and works after the transaction. No guarantee that you would win without a contract and written agreement of the copyright transfer signed by both parties, but you might have a strong case.
