Nah, given that the horde are involved with them throughout the voldun quest lines and all the alliance really does is burn their caravans in that terrible world quest that makes me sad, it's not too surprising :S

BUT there's speculation that next expansion will include some sort of loosening of faction lines, like maybe some races will be able to swing both ways, so who knows

Apperently in generel they will do away with the factions unless to turn on PvP mode, will be curious to see how this turns out. Should make finding a decent guilds or revive them on old servers like mine that was online since day one and is super underpopulated prolly way more easy.

Well past time for that. This whole expansion is a massive headscratcher considering how Legion did so much work to obliterate all differences between uniting the class halls and whatnot.

I think the only time where i would say WoW did shine on its story would be MoP i loved everything about this EXP, you felt connected to the world like no other EXP, Legion was very cool as well. I dont dislike BfA as much as WoD but so far a very very disappointed one, so the Vulpera are at least a good reason go twinking for a bit :D and be nicely silly having all those events where a Vulpera was not supposed to be XD

Yeah, that was a longshot for sure since their models are totally not suited for standard WoW player customization. But getting one out of two good things is still cause for celebration! I was pretty worried we were just going to get gilblins and mechagnomes and there would be zero furry love D:

Yeah, redoing the art for all the armor items to get them to fit on Setthrek bodies would have been a pain. I mean, Vulpera require a bit of work too, but the Setthrek are SO weird with the body shape, it doesn't seem like it would have been worth it.

Vulpera work pretty easily since their body -is- based on the goblin model (as much as i hate to point that out since people are always using it as an argument for why they're bad) and they have normal arms and legs, but looking at the sethrak, like... the way their legs connect to their body, not to mention their overall different shape... humanoid, but only technically... it's pretty easy to see why they didn't. They could have if they really wanted to, but like you said it would have been a lot more work. Mechagnomes were super easy, and honestly they make a little more sense too as far as having a reason to join the alliance. The sethrak are a lot like the arakkoa... a race that everyone loves but which is obscure and has very little connection to anything and would have almost zero reason to take up arms in a war that they have no stake in

Yeah i think players would have thought it'd be worth it of course, but blizzard doesn't factor that into their decisions a whole lot when it comes to things costing more :P

Yeah, I mean the whole point of "allied races" is that they're not a full race. That is, an "Allied race" doesn't get a starter zone (no creating zones for them) and they have to use the same model skeleton as another race, so you don't have to make tons of new art for them. It's not like the worgen who are a full race with their own body types. So, well, the Setthrek COULD be a race, they just wouldn't be an Allied Race.

It's great that the Vulpera are coming, finally. I thought they had a pretty good story line, with strong characters. And their voice actors were awesome. Very on point.

The racials on mechagnomes are absurdly OP though. Craft anything that doesn't require something super specific like the thunder anvil literally anywhere, recover 20% health every 90 seconds when knocked into critical health, and a trinket-level stacking primary stat buff in combat.

I suppose it is cool but, what can I say so many Warmbloods already, give us reptiles some time to shine.

I'm so excited for Vulpera, I've wanted them so bad...they're just so damn cute. I'm also super close to getting the rep I'd need too, so excited. Vulpera rogue is going to be a reality and even better is they don't dance like goblins but got their own dance. They truly are their own people and not just reskins of goblins.. so thrilled

I dislike that Mechagon zone, it all just seems like filler. And the difficulty of that dungeon for 415 ilvl gear just not worth it.

I heard the news after work yesterday. It looks like you were right all along. I was hearing that the horse was going to get giblins, but it looks like all that petitioning from everyone for vulpera finally paid off! :D Alot of people have been begging blizzard for a furry horde race (apparently tauren dont count as furry :/). Heh... I for one am glad that the world of Zootopia doesn't have humans, we already have a zootopia like world where humans and such exist. :p

This will give me more incentive to play BoA after binging on Classic since its release (okay I have played some more since patch 2.5 to explore south sides of the horde war campaign), and I sure am glad I saved my 110 boost token for a time like this.

I'm honestly not sure why anyone would have thought the Alliance could have gotten the snakes. They weren't associated with the Alliance, the snakes are in a horde zone. Why would the snakes have had a connection to the Alliance?

I see it as more of an anti-connection to the Vulpera, really. They work together a bit by the end of Vol'dun but aren't exactly best friends. Plus it just feels fitting for both factions to get another beast race by this point.

It has been so fun to watch the conspiracy theories about them being the playable race and it's actually happening! I would have been happy with mergoblins too, which I thought was more likely, but I'm thrilled the Vulpera are the final confirmation <3

There is SO MUCH hatred for this race though, I've had a hard time finding a place where I could gush about my excitement. I'm glad unlocking them is so much easier than many of the other allied races are. Definitely making these when they're out. I love their racials too!

For sure, all the other allied races i've had to finish a rep grind for, but this one i already have so as soon as they come out i will be able to do the unlock quest!

I like how Blizz's attempt to distract from the Blitzchung incident with "Hey look, we have foxes yay!" has been completely wasted now that there are even US senators taking shots at Blizz and the incident has even spread to international news outlets.
