In other news State of Flux coming along well. As of this post I've put in over 150,000 words into the story so far. A lot of this phase is just keeping at it, and making sure to write every day so that the workload remains manageable. I'm currently working on the final chapter of one path and the last two chapters of another. Congrats on the progress with SoF. Aside from the writing, the drawing side has to bee just as intense a workload?
And thank you! And it'll be very intense. I will not be surprised if the game has more pictures than The Pirate's Fate. However, where this is my first time writing a project of this scale, at least when it comes to art I'll feel a bit more in my comfort zone. Plus I'll be able to share a bit more than I can during the writing phase.
Ya I imagine something of this scale will keep you busy for sometime. Are you doing it all yourself or do you have support artists too help?
Only regret is you never get the chance to ultra murder the only true villains in the story, Threyon and Sherry. If you pursue romance with Morgana especially, Indie Mila would probably burn the whole place down after that thing with the goat horn.
Of course that's more of a general problem I have with all TF fiction. Transforming someone, especially altering their personality, depending on the severity is either identity rape or rape and murder. Having two characters just playfully throw a transformative object at someone is like them gleefully blasting them in the face with a shotgun, even if they don't die they're horribly disfigured.
I feel transformations like that should always be taken seriously, and their perpetrators should always be treated as though they have committed a heinous crime, the kind that would make even murderers sick.
DLC suggestion: an option to do something horrible to those two. Maybe forcibly use a coin to merge them into one person and personality. It'd be ironic since they're all about love and are treated in game as a single character, but romantic love can't exist without two people. You'd literally be giving them too much of what they want, and thus destroying their entire world and functionally killing both people while still allowing them to feel the loss of the other. Eternally right next to each other but never able to see or hear or touch them, only themselves, alone.
Or, you know, punch them... Basically I want more opportunities for Justice/Punch Mila to Justice Punch people's souls out, literally and metaphorically.
