"A few years ago I met a girl at my local Renaissance faire named Casey. I never got to know her very well, although she always seemed pretty cool, with hugs and smiles and cuteness for all. Several months ago she was diagnosed with bone cancer; she is currently undergoing chemotherapy, but will have to have her leg and part of her pelvis amputated. (Her sister, older by a few years, had leukemia when she was younger; fun, no?) Anyway . . . Weak-bodied, hairless, 19-year-old Casey entered a contest Victoria's Secret is having in which you submit a few pictures with a brief description of why you love your body. The prize is a trip to New York, a spa treatment, basically a break from life that she and her sister, who dropped everything to go help take care of her, quite deserve. The voting is on the website, and you can vote once per day. (Per IP address...) I tend to be extremely cynical about these kinds of contests, but she is currently in first place, after having been ousted from that position by a bunch of 4chan hackers. So there is a chance that this could actually happen.

So, if you have a spare 3 seconds, please vote for Casey. She deserves a little vacation from life."
