I envy that ability to connect at such a primal level with sexual imagery like that, with ease and humor. I can only imagine what Heinrich Kley's private sketchbook looked like. Alas such healthy and natural thoughts were beaten out of me from a very young age and warped into something unrecognizable. Hooray for American puritanism.

Indeed. And it's not only america's puritonism... the practice seems to be pretty widespread. Blargh... taboos... for people too scared to think. I hate the concept of sin via thoughts - the idea that people should be anxious about what they think or imagine, that's utter conformity to dogmatic rules imposed from outside. I don't think it serves any purpose, other than making people anxious.

I envy him, I really do. Pornography sometimes lacks creativity, but he's a perfect example that it shouldn't nescessary be the case.

I still can't get access to any Heinrich Kley's books (bummer, since i love his work), every time i try to order them at the bookshop, they tell me it's out of print. I know what you mean, looks like his private sketchbooks would've been totally bananas. :]
