Rare sonas adoptable designs? Opinions?

I was thinking about designing a few anthros based on animals that are rarely seen in the furry community, and make the designs available for adoption. What do you think? Could this be an interesting idea or maybe just a waste of time?

I'm still unsure if I should use natural earthly colors or fantasy colors.
I can see the colouration working out quite nicely either way. Personally always a fan of combining more subdued/natural colours with one or two fantasy ones, though.
