I wanted to get a philly cheese steak because after the MANY years we've went to PA to either visit or pick up my grandma I've only walked around once, like 11 years ago and I've never had a philly cheese steak.
not much of a story but... it's what happened XD
So we took him to the vets and they told us he had a collapsed lung and that he had to stay with them. We spent the better part of the week fretting over his life and whether he needed surgery or not. Luckily for him, his lung was healing by itself and all the vets had to do was drain his chest cavity of air.
He's now back with us, safe and sound but we've still gotta keep an eye on him so that he doesn't do anything stupid enough to damage his healing lung (like go up and downstairs, bark at strangers, pull on the lead when he has to go on a short walk etc). He's going for a checkup this Friday. He's doing fine and so far he looks like he'll make a full recovery, which is good.
Suffice to say, none of us were in the mood to watch the movie after that. -w-
By the way! I haven't heard of you guys ever making mention of going to conventions, is that something you haven't ever thought about?
*Did reverse-Halloween! We don't really celebrate Halloween here, so we went out and did it wrong - as in, we wouldn't go begging people for candy, we'd actually just give out candy to people on the street! Pic: https://twitter.com/Karbikworks/sta.....840839683?s=19
It...was not...a cat. It was a skunk. We started at each other for a full minute before I move and it begins to scamper off and I went back inside.
In short: I go to shoot a fox and meet a skunk. We scared each other and then parted company.
I went back to work a few hours later, moving a tractor out of one of the barns. It had a cultivator attachment on the back that was folded up to the exact size of the barn door, so it was important that I lower it just enough to not hit the ceiling, but not too low that the blades would tear up the concrete floor as I backed out. Because it was raining, the inside of the cabin fogged up and I swung opened the back window of the tractor in order to get a view of the door frame above. I raised the equipment up slightly, but as the tractor went over the lip of the barn doorway, the equipment tilted towards the tractor cabin and shattered the back window screen I had opened. I got covered in glass.
A few weeks later, the day before we were to fly to Slovakia for a business trip, I was lifting old 50k sacks of wheat from an old dusty attic in a different barn. They were awkward and would tear easily. After a few hours of lifting them into the bucket of the frontloader, I felt like something was wrong. I was super sore and very slowly I started to lose the ability to walk and all the muscles in my lover back and left leg cramped and I fell in the mud and couldnt move for about 15 minutes. I had to wait for one of my friends to come and run out to me and help me up, we went to the doctor and she said that when I fell in the whole a few weeks earlier it did something to the nerves in my pelvis. It wasnt permanent damage, but it was a lot of things going wrong and incredibly painful. I could hardly walk or sit, and I couldnt even put my own pants for the next week. I ended up flying the next day with the rest of my coworkers to Sloavakia, but in pain the entire time. The trip overall was great, even though it was 5 days of pain. Im still recovering right now and feel much better. but still not 100%. I go back to the doctor tomorrow to see how I am.
Not much happened here, sadly. About the most exciting bit was pulling together a new bundle of info on various matters towards materials research, tank armor development, evolution of a language, ammunition propellant, overall tank development, Soviet prototypes, and more. I've been designing quite a few things, so learning more as a whole is wonderful for me.
How have you been though?
I am hoping you two are doing good. Its nice to see the communication between the community and you guys. Feels welcoming!~
Well, I wore a costume at a Halloween party, something I think I haven't done in 15 years, and had a ton of fun! I also learned something about using skin paints. Painting people's faces is cool!
...and I caught a flu.
How are you? Is life treating you well?
It was all so sudden, it's almost like if a revolution had begun out of nowhere haha
I've been keeping safe from all the mess so far, keeping home for the time being.
