Frequent Following/Unfollowing

I've been meaning to mention this for...about two years now. If you've been seeing me repeatedly following you, please know that I never unfollowed over anything personal on your part. To say I've been dealing with depression steadily since 2017 is an understatement. During the years where my vision was fading, I unfollowed a lot of people because seeing everyone else drawing was a very painful experience. After that, dealing with various episodes of severe grief, depression, and vision changes had me repeating the process of following/unfollowing/re-following some of you. So yeah. It wasn't you, it really was me. And if I haven't followed you back, let me know! I was watching some fantastic people a couple years ago and I've lost track of several.
Haha, well... Not good, but not dead, and given events over the summer, that's something.
And indeed, least you're still around *hugs*
Doesn't mean you do not support them!
There are plenty of folks I cannot follow for the content they post that triggers me, or my own mental instability at times. Doesn't mean I do not love them or their work and wish them the best.
As long as you are comfy and happy and in a better place for it, that is all that matters.
I remind myself every time I have to resort to it.
Be gentle and kind to yourself!
Whether or not someone follows me doesn't matter as much as your mental health- I watch people for a variety of reasons, and I just liked you as a person as much as I appreciated your art and writing. If it's painful to go through with something, there's no sense in doing it. I'm not hurt by it, I just hope you recover and are on your way to a better place in life.
Trust me, I've been in some dark places, I know how it feels. I understand completely how it is, and there's no way I'd hold anything against you for it.
Hoo boy, did it ever get dark over here. o_o Literally and metaphorically. XD I'm marginally in a better place but it's pretty tough to be worse off than I was. Hopefully things will get better but I'm not at a place where I can imagine what that might be like.
Hee, I ended up playing Hollow Knight because of your comic. :) Definitely looking forward to Silksong now. :)
