You shouldn't let the short comings turn you away, they may have been something there (that wasn't leaked) that you might enjoy

Game Freak have all the resources in the world to make an amazing pokemon game and they didn't. They just copy and pasted some 3DS Models and said "Good enough". We all deserve better and they won't do better until this under-performs.

You're not wrong but they bring out a new game every year there is going to be double dipping, like there has been. We do deserve a great game but this is a something that may still be good all in all. I was going to buy a switch just so I could play with friends, even they are turned off by it but what do I know I love Gen 5 and the community gives that game hell time to time. Just see what happens, who knows maybe you'll see something you like.

You're not bugging me. There just isn't much to say. Besides, I need to rest up before I pic a Gen 8 pokemon to make a character out of.

I'd say not the starters, there are some pokemon who need the love. I know whatever you choose, it will look amazing!

I still want to play it but that's just me.

Honestly, I'd recommend buying a used copy if your really not sure.
