I’m slowly but surely getting my crap together, but I understand that even now there a lot left for me to learn. When I first started social media I thought I could expand my circle by doing things for people I liked.

My main thing has always been drawing, so I got the idea that if I interacted with them and made giftart, I’d get the attention of the people I like and they'd make me one of their mutuals. Sometimes that worked, but usually it didn’t, and each time I was left wondering why.

Now I understand the truth. I did those things because I myself decided to do them. No one made me do it, so no one owes me their friendship, free art, or even the time of day. Unless I paid for something or we agreed to a trade, you don’t owe me anything.

If you like what I’m about, and you wanna get to know me better, that’s great! If not, that’s fine too. I think I’m gonna make this my philosophy when dealing with people from now on. Expect nothing.
