I try not to look at other employees and the work they do and simply do the best for me. This has paid off more than a few times.

See that's the thing I hate the most. If there's someone being lazy, then the people who aren't lazy just have to pick up their slack. We can't do anything about it, except for complain which never accomplishes anything, and if we're unable or unwilling to do the extra work, then we're the ones who get in trouble. At this point in time, I'm considering just getting another job and leaving them high and dry. The only thing keeping me from doing it is the one or two legitimately good workers up there would get the raw end of the deal.

I call that 'at work'.
