So I got a phone call from my mom today at around 3:30 pm, she fell at work and has to be rushed to the hospital. She just called me a little while ago and told me she fractured her elbow and will be out of work for 2 weeks minimum. Her arm is in an immobilizer now. She and I really can NOT have this happen. We are currently living in a motel with my cat and my dog, because we were evicted from our apartment. We were evicted because she fell at the apartment due to negligence of the landlord, and she broke her humerus bone in half, having to have emergency surgery on the arm, putting 7 screws and a titanium plate in the arm. They evicted us due to the fact that my mom is suing them for their negligence. We have no where to go if we get thrown out of this motel. The cost to stay here is 400.00 USD a week because of having animals. We MIGHT have a place to rent come December, but there's no guarantee there. So...now, we're basically fucked. I can not work due to my health and I'm just ready to cry. I'm currently trying to get disability through the state government but that can take forever.
