Next year will be a sad year thanks to cancellation of Flash and COPPA.

But Flash gets me the saddest.

I remember it was my first enjoyable venture on the internet. The weird rawness of the internet thrives on flash cartoons and browser based video games. We all enjoyed them. We where not allowed to play those games in class unless on break.

We would go to Newgrounds and look up that stuff. This was our Minecraft.

Coming back to a website that is forever stuck in 2005 and seeing Flash setting breaks my heart. Knowing it will be gone.

I used to make flash cartoons in my converted garage. I used to make flash animations in middle school. Fancy pants, Quest for Ikambokem, and Ultimate Showdown.
We used to watch flash cartoons together up until around 2008. When smartphones and YouTube was getting popular.

I neglected my computer for about a year and a battery blew up. I had a SATA hard drive and I can never use it again. I lost the CD It had flash on it from my friend.

Now it's all gone forever. Like tears in the rain.
