In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow. Nothing can become. Nothing changes. So death created time to grow the things that it would kill and you are reborn but into the same life that you've always been born into.
So...I am at a point where I can either become infuriated and enraged beyond comprehension...oooorr I can do evil unto evil in a calm and relatively civilized manner. The situation is thus: People who are hired to do jobs at my place of employment do not want to do those jobs and, in some cases, even come in at all. The burden of some of that unfinished work goes onto me and the few other workers who do actually attempt to pull our weight. It appears this includes the GM as well (being one of the ones who does not want to pull their weight).
One of the major issues that has come up recently is I requested time off to attend a wedding. It was approved and I got it in writing. I kept the approval notice for my records (had an odd feeling I should hold on to it). The following week's schedule was posted and I got the days I requested off after Thanksgiving...except for the LAST day I requested, and then I had another two days off after that. I brought it up to GM and...her response was "Well can you come back early?" I had to keep from laughing at her. I told her that was unlikely. She then said "Well that's going to mess up everyone else's off days and I don't want to work open to close." I responded with "Okay well, I put the request in in writing, as you asked, and you signed it." She then said "Well I didn't see you had requested that day off, just the other days." That last part was strange because the way the little form was structured, it was difficult to miss the days I requested.
Either way, her lack of concern, dismissal, etc. is not my concern. She signed it, period. That is not the end of it, however. I had made it clear I was not only leaving town, but leaving the state as well. I received a text message JUST BEFORE THE EVENT asking if I could come in and work that day. I literally lol'd and had to show people why I was laughing and explain...others joined in my laughter. I didn't even respond to the stupid cunt. So where I'm at right now is...she ignored one of my requested days, gave me a bullshit, selfish reason for why she still expects me to come in and work anyways (even though she has me off the two days after!). The way I see it? I've got a decent vacation.
