General
....I received my honorable medical discharge after serving 7 months and 1 day at Fort Benning, Georgia. Strangely enough, it feels like I never left. I still remember vividly the long winding roads, the DFAC (dining facility), the recreation center, the clinics, the main hospital, the morale trips, pool PT. Joining the military was the scariest and most consequential decision I've made so far. Despite that, no regrets; it had to be done. Prior to enlisting, I was at my lowest low. Lived in a homeless shelter for two months, an experience that terrifies me to this day. Lost my home, lost property, lost friends and nearly took my own life twice (once in the shelter and once in the Army).
Looking back at it now, it sounds odd but the thing that ultimately led to my enlistment was this video:

You're welcome.
I can empathize. I never enlisted in the military and can't speak for what it is or isn't like to be homeless, but I am also a survivor of 2 attempts on my own life. It's a blessing to the world that you are with us and well today.

I'm glad you're still around Allan, I know what it's like to be that low. I have been on the edge of suicide myself. It was cool getting to meet you and hang out with you a bit a few years ago.
