Where has Redflare been?

Hello everyone on furaffinity! I'm writing this as I have been somewhat neglecting posting on this site this year. Things have been very hectic the last few months and I have not really had the time and effort to spread my posting across more than one or two sites online.
As most of you who follow me might know, I primarily share my work on Twitter and Patreon, Furaffinity kinda just became that third wheel with slightly more awkward posting on it that due to necessity in my schedule kinda dropped off the radar.
Its for a few reasons honestly, furaffinity has never really felt that fluid or functional when it comes to interacting with an audience or posting artwork, two things I value very dearly. Posting images can be a bit of a nightmare, with severely strict posting rules that tend to squash and compress any high-quality image to rubbish jpeg values (even with the multitude of hacks and workarounds in place) It takes time to post too, several minutes to upload big files, write descriptions, add tags, it all mounts up when you draw as many images as I do on a day to day basis. I found comments to run dry quite quickly and never really felt able to sense when an image did really 'well', you get a few favourites and views sure, a few comments too, but engagement with people always felt like it was so far away and unnatural. Like I was dealing with people through a thick layer of wool or fog, never really interacting with them.
Twitter and Patreon on the other hand give me an immediate interaction with people, able to see and comment on stuff so very easily. I'm always reachable on there, I can announce streams, commissions, and post art on the go from anywhere. I like being able to see comments, favourites and retweets from so many people, it really makes me feel like people are enjoying my work.
That being said I am not forgetting furaffinity, as the current online landscape requires you to be open and fluid with where art is posted and accessible. So I'll be periodically uploading my 'best bits' of art here, some of the stuff I was most proud of sharing. I already kinda do this with twitter, with the only place you can see *all* of my art and little sketches being patreon.

This year has been alright overall, I've attended some fun conventions, I finally moved out of my parents place this year and I'm now living in my own waterfront apartment with all my lovely rubber gear, able to have as many shiny squeaky friends over as I like! Moving out has taken quite its toll though, bringing about stress and sickness I've really had to tackle the last few months. Strict art deadlines I set myself and always pushing for more quality too with what I create has always kept me busy and stressed. But I still enjoy what I do and I hope you all do too.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you all for favouriting and commenting on my art, it really keeps me going. Heres to more crazy fun art in 2020~

Hope 2020 is super awesome for you!
Seriously, thank you very much for maintaining so many places for us to see your art! ^^ ❤❤❤
I hope everything goes well on 2020 for you.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
in fact im writing this to let my post timer cool down alittle
tried updating my weasyl but it just kept crashing and i had to move on to another
feels like we are all kind of regressing back to a time before all these art posting sites, only, yknow~ instead of forums it's chat clients that allow easy image share
