well, lucky you can change it back to classic mode, the first thing i did and now its back to normal

Well, that's nice at least. I'll give the modern ui a shot though. Will be nice to finally have a mobile interface, as a 99% mobile user.

It's worse on DA. There's no opportunity to go back to the previous interface, and while FA's update and its Classic mode allow you to view submissions in a gallery a certain number of entries at a time, DA doesn't allow this. You have to view a gallery or your new notifications all at once, loaded from oldest first or newest first with no real way to refine how you might want to navigate to see, for example, the middle (other than by scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, and remembering that if I go to a deviation and go back, I have to scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll just to get back there).

In the meantime, if I want to go to, say, page 5 in a 9 page gallery here, I can do so without issue.

Also, DA's settings still let you select "pages" and "24 at a time" as viewing options; these viewing options just don't have any effect. It's nothing but a giant middle finger.

I can switch back to my old format, there's a switch on top of mine that can turn off "eclipse"

Yeesh, at least here it seems usable.

It's really not all that different. They just changed button shape and background color.

It's 100% different on mobile. Entire layout of the site changed from the classic to a mobile ui.

I don't get the hate, it baffles me. Honestly I'm ok with it, I was probably tired of the same layout since I've been on FA longer than most people. Back when submission ID numbers consisted of 6 digits XD

I think it's mainly just a shock of going from something you've seen almost every day for years to the new ui. I'm giving it a shot since I'm a mobile only user so having a mobile ui will be nice if I can get used to it.

Yes, people have a hard time adapting to sudden changes.

I tried it but it's utterly riddled with issues that any half decent website/UI designer wouldn't have made. But then that's likely the problem, whoever they put in charge of it likely hasn't a clue what they're doing.

I personally like the new UI, I'll get used to this very quickly. Seems to be more user friendly to me. But we all got opinions, which is perfectly fine.
