New Year, New Decade, New Plans
It’s 2020, the start of a new year and a new decade. I’ve erased all my current notifications since they’ve been getting into the tens of thousands (and let’s face it, no one’s looking back that far through their stuff), and I’m ready to see what the new year offers in terms of cool art and stories.
Things I want to accomplish this year:
-More art of Wire in his current form. Most of the art I have of Wire is of the old version (who I’m now calling Nate as he is a separate character now). So, I want to get some stuff of the new version of him/me.
-Commissioning art of more new characters and art of my current characters. You already know it's gonna happen.
-Writing and posting more stories. Since my ultimate goal is to make a career out of writing stories, the best thing to do is focus on writing a bit more. I may even start a writing schedule to
-Developing my story worlds. There’s so much to the worlds of Hopada and Maleo that I want to explore and flesh out and I want to develop more of that this year. Maybe even making them into official comics. Speaking of which…
-Making comics out of my story worlds. Along with making a career out of writing stories, part of that is creating comics out of my story worlds. I’d love to team up with a good comic artist to make that happen. Though I know it’s going to take a lot of time, effort, and money, so it’s going to be something I really need to plan out.
Questions I’ve been pondering:
-Should I open for limited story requests/trades/commissions? Through a combination of having lots of ideas for scenarios I want to see, very few writers that cater to my interests, most of the ones that do being unavailable whenever I look, and a general lack of funds to do much with whenever I’m interested, things have been pushing me more and more to start writing stuff myself instead of just commissioning. Plus, writing for someone else might be a good way to put some extra money in my pocket and motivate me to finish stories more regularly than I do now
-Should I start posting commissioned works from my secret gallery? By “secret gallery”, I mean things that I haven’t posted to my gallery here for being too mature or out-there. A bunch of NSFW and fetish stuff (and probably not the kind of NSFW stuff most of you are thinking of). Most of it won’t go on my main gallery. I’ll be posting it to another page for exclusively NSFW/fetish stuff. I’m also thinking about posting some stories related to those things as I keep writing them (and may even include them in my requests/commissions from the question above).
What do you think about all of this? What do you think of the two questions I’ve asked above? If you see this, I’d love to get some feedback and if you’re an artist interested in helping me with any of the things I’ve mentioned above, I’d be happy to hear from you and look in your gallery.
Oh, and Happy New Year everyone!
