Yikes. I sometimes feel like I fall foul of this. :(
Personally, I have an incredibly busy life, and a lot of people at any given time are trying to talk to me. Given that I also live with a couple of mental conditions that can make stuff like this difficult to do, or to remember to do, I know that I leave people on "Read" sometimes, and I feel really bad about it.

It hasn't. Granted I've only really had contact with you once.

I know this is a two year old journal, but IDC I'm still responding. Some artists this is absolutely true, they're rather anti-social, or they want you specifically to fill out an application for a commission, then they chuck your name on trello crossing their fingers, hoping and praying that they never receive even a single message from you. These artists often can't even give the common respect of a a decent description when they post your commission. They're like robots, some of them even take to social media ranting about how art isn't an expression it's just a product, of which they profit off of. I don't have even a little bit of interest in ever commissioning these artists. They don't wanna talk to you, or anyone for that matter. These types of attitudes come across very clearly when you see them. More often than not you can pick it up just by reading their posts.

Take it from me, as an artist. Artists like that they are doing you a favor by not responding.
