A little birdie told me Endo is more in style these days. Kinda surprised me since way way way back in the day, perma or digestion was a big thing. Remember being mocked for my preferences and frustrated with the lack of action because... well I was endo. This led me trying the other side of the spectrum and being traumatized a little. Then the few folks who I used to role play with who went to other side, "LoL sorry, preferences changed."
Kinda sucks because now I have a hard time keeping my attention on a role play since I have little free time to enjoy... that or I'm just too lazy to write up long paragraphs.
So who's a Endo bro?

You get to eat or be eaten, and spend time in a belly, safe, unharmed and with someone you love or consider a friend. Its an adepct of vore I like, because you are protecting someone or being peotected. Not to mention, being with them very close and maybe even enjoy it! ^_^
Plus what I like to also do, is endo-absorption. This is where someone is eten yes, and absorbed into the host's body, turned into sentient pudge, but their mind is intact, memories or all there and everything. They just don't have a body, but are preserved and alive, just...closer thab ever before with thebother individual, safe and happy -until they want to be reformed or spend some more time together.

i love some good wholesome, safe comfortable snugness within a friend, nothing complicated, just safety within a soft, warm chamber, a gentle squeeze, a heartbeat nearby, the sounds of breath and gurgling insides... and, of course, getting let out some time later a bit moist at worst.
that's certainly fatal circles at some of their worst. being into dark kinks requires a firm grasp on reality, lest you become worse for it, and in this case these people were already deceptively selfish.
i can't say that means anything concrete for the fatal community at large, that'd be presumptuous and belittle folks who do their best to be good people despite odd interests, but they've got a lot of potential to go sour if they're not careful to recognize and separate themselves from dark fantasy.
some people seem determined to lack self awareness or any care for the effect their fetish has on people not into the dark fantasy of digestion or fatality.
best for folks to keep fatal stuff among truly fellow fatal peers, and for endo folks to recognize how to avoid hurting themselves despite fatal folks's best efforts to keep to themselves.
in any case, i enjoy staying in the corner of wholesome snugs, of warmth and safety, of love and tastiness, not treading where fatal folks have their own fun.
for now, indeed, we enjoy what we all have for us.
what i wanted to say, is that the content itself can affect other people, potentially ranging from people not liking digestion to simply finding vore gross and weird in general, and it's the choice for anyone sharing the fetish with their peers not to leave it where too many unrelated people can see.
some people do a really good job of this, which is again, ultimately disconnected from what the fetish happens to be in the first place. once they do, if someone manages to find that content and feel bad about it anyways, chances are this person who found stuff they dislike only has themselves to blame. in this case, digestive vore just happened to be the stuff people didn't keep to their peers / people stumbled on by their own hubris. i know i'm guilty of the latter often times.
sorry it sounded like i was vilifying people into digestion, wasn't my intent; that's definitely not a perspective i ultimately want to advertise. i just want to lament irresponsibility, not fetish superiority or something. i should've been better with how i said it.
Of course, as you say, that works two ways; it's not cool of vore-enthusiasts (or whichever subset) to spread their content in places where they know they will cause a negative response.
Endo is more comforting, caring and protective. However, dabbling in the digestion side is fun too at times. In the end, endo is still a prime favorite overall. ^__^
And you know I enjoy interacting with your characters in any way you feel most comfortable with ^^
Now, depending on the scenario, I might enjoy laying up against another dragons stomach, and feeling the squirms of the prey slowly fade into nothingness, but I prefer that the prey is at the least, reformed
I like nonfatal for it being very wholesome and sweet, showing the nicer side of vore, I’m okay with reformation

I love vore but add safe endo to it, I love giant dominant macros but add consent and approval from micros, I even love big dangerous kaijus that doesn't really wrecks havoc upon people.
And at times I do digestion but with reformation, and perma but with an explicit safety behind it....like perma endo or something.
Sometimes I do have mood swings with preferences. But most of the time? It's just safe endo, and I would like it if there was more endo, safe content out there....I mean when was the last time I saw an art with a non-fatal, playful stomp?
For RP purposes: I like to digest, reform while still inside me, and then endo. The best of both vorelds.
when I first joined that was what I liked. I am not completely against digestion depending on how the story is going (usually when paired with reformation). but I suppose its because I tend to relate too much to the characters being devoured.

I’m definitely the same way. I just like the idea of being inside of another creature I suppose and finding it relaxing or generally fun. I think for my cat they’d find it fun to play being chased and eaten by something large or I guess once in a while being the pred, but it’s really getting to be in them that it’s all about for them. Taking a nap in a warm moist organic place sounds fun too.
I dunno, I guess some random thoughts before bed but hello!
The animals (Maybe Creatures/Monsters and Robots as well) can be as Cruel, Evil, Sadistic, Hyper, Extreme, Filthy, Slutty, Raunchy, and Unclean as they want to Characters and Objects, this might include doing those things to Creatures/Monsters and robots as well.
Also having any RP Partner(s) be as detailed as possible with everything that is gonig on during them, like how the character looks both inside and out, the sounds, jiggle physics, words, smells, tastes, feels, and hearings.
However, not sure who said Endo was on the rise; if anything I feel it's declining.
Or at the very least, Endo lovers are much more likely to lurk these days.
Artwise, its still a super minority.
I wouldn't say one or the other is more 'in style'. That's not really how fetishes work, I think. You could just happen to chat with more or fewer people who are into something. But the content isn't going anywhere.
That's just a random internet wolf's two cents, anyway.

It is quite difficult for me to explain my reasoning and feelings towards it as I have never been that good at putting it into words but I never do it out of spite or any maliciousness towards someone. It is simply eating for the sake of feeding hunger.
Artwork wise I can like endo imagery and comics but when it comes to roleplay I simply cannot change how I work and make my inner workings a safe environment. I go for as much realism as I can and eating someone alive is a very dangerous adventure indeed.

Even if I do hard and 'soft' vore I am never cruel about it. Ezroc who is my black and purple wyvern that my icon is of is a completely feral creature. While he has a name it is simply the name I gave him. He cannot speak and is only semi sentient with decent enough intelligence that he can form bonds and friendships. Being that he hunts and feeds like a normal creature, cruelty is normally absent despite what befalls the prey.
I've never been too keen on digestion myself, at least in writing, and simply imply it as I don't like to go into detail as I feel it isn't needed. I just like the natural order of realistic scenarios in vore and usually steer clear of unnecessary pain and anguish.
When it comes to doing this with people's characters it is only if they are completely sure about it and I certainly remember the experience quite fondly. Again I have difficulty expressing it but hope I can be understood that I don't take perma lightly.
While I certainly dont mind others enjoying it, as preferences are what they are, endo or ambiguity tends to be my go-to
Over the years you have acquired some of my absolute favorite examples of exactly that. Your characters and relationships and situations are the perfect combinations, it makes my heart so glad to be your follower.
