Update to Charr Armor Design
As of recently, i've been doing a lot of research on medieval armors and found many different features on them that are absent on a lot of my own designs, namely ones that are quite important to the protective capacity of the armors. First of all, in the 15th century, and the early classical era, some helmets had Wrappers, which were pieces of plate armor strapped to the helmet that hangs down and protects the front of the neck. I've recently found after playing with some animations, and contemplating the anatomical differences between the Charr and Humans, i've found that Charr necks are exceedingly vulnerable parts of their body, and so now that i know what Wrappers are, and what they do, i've decided to update all current Legion Standard armors with plate wrappers. In my opinion, all Charr armors should have this feature, given how much of a prominent target the neck is. Secondly, in some of my armors, i've had entire coats and trousers made from scale mail, but in reality, on later gothic plate mail armor designs, full mail would be overkill. Instead, those designs featured Spanners, which were smaller segments of mail, sewn directly on to a gamberson (Or whatever was worn beneath the armor in question) And would cover the vulnerable areas that the plate armor didnt fully cover, such as the inside of the legs, and underneath the arms and armpits. I'll put Spanners on the Blood Legion Standard armor, and possibly Iron Legion Standard armor. Finally, i've been making the helmets without proper padding underneath, so i'll also be working on proper helmet lining.
