I'm not sure what I would want to see. But in my experience, you need to make what you want to make, and people will come for that. Getting it started, and seeing how others react to it as well as your own feelings towards what you make can help guide you in the creative process.

I follow a few webcomics. Some of them are slice-of-life, some are video game parodies, and others are a fictional story where we follow some characters that the creator has made. Those are the types of comics I've personally enjoyed reading.

Time is not the best ally. It can be stressful trying to manage yourself and getting everything done. But it is possible. My suggestion would be to pace yourself, make some comic pages, see how they're received, and keep to a schedule that makes sure you do everything that you need without overwhelming yourself. As people get drawn in, they'll be more likely to help support via a Patreon or other source.

You should definitely shoot for it! It's good to have a plan of what you want to do, but it's just as important to have fun with it and do it. This is something you've been wanting, and if you feel the time is right, then I say go full steam ahead.

If you are going to actually try and do full-time art as a profession, then it might be a good idea to learn what you can declare on your taxes as a self-employed person. There's a huge amount of things you can get partial tax write-offs for, up to and including house bills, but you gotta actually make a lot of money doing it before that's enough to get you ahead.

Well, yeah, it takes a while to get up to a point where you can do art as a sole income job, but for the future, you might consider looking into that. It will help a lot.

ah! a couple recommendations i have, maybe have it so that patrons of a certain tier can access pages early compared to when you post them, along with progress shots! maybe speedpaints or streams
another possible idea is to have cameo tiers of just basic bg characters,
if this is more serialised i noticed how alot of animation channels draw a lil thing for certain patrons at the end of their videos, this would just be probably at the end of a chapter instead to save work
