Cautious Return
(Mostly copy/paste from SoFurry)
More than 10 years ago I created an account here, not just because I was a young man running on hormones and curiosity, but because I wanted to thank the creators of the stories I'd been reading and art I'd been viewing in the only way I felt I could. And that was by creating my own works of fiction and art.
However, about three years ago I lost my interest in writing/drawing/art-ing in general, and decided to officially change my title from writer to lurker. My desire to work on anything creative slowed to a point where it was almost nonexistant. Expections from work, family, friends, drama, and life in general built up and those took priority, which they should have. Life away from the keyboard is more important, just not as much fun.
Well, I find myself in a somewhat rare situation. Life has calmed, and that creative itch is coming back, slowly but surely. I have folders of half-started stories and art which I find myself drawn to a bit more. It won't be perfect, it's been a long time since I'd taken any of it seriously, but practice makes perfect.
This is not me saying to expect rapid fire submissions where the site is suddenly flooded with my work. But expect to see my name more than once every so often.
Not diving back into the deep end. I'm just sitting on the edge of the pool, kicking my feet.
-L.M.
P.S. - Up until now I've exclusively uploaded my stories to SoFurry. Not because I think FA is a bad site, but because I simply prefer the layout of SF's site more.
More stories are posted there, and if you decide to check them out, I hope you enjoy them. I'm going to start uploading them here as well, same day my works are finished, so you don't have to bounce between sites.
