New things for the new year

Several furries in Colorado Springs started a new group this year. The group will plan more activities when the weather gets warmer, but I've been to a couple of meets with the group. I'm thankful to have more local events where I feel welcome. I'm also grateful I wasn't alone in wanting to distance myself from the behavior of the old group's organizer.
I got myself a new car stereo earlier this month. This stereo has a built-in Bluetooth connection, so I can play phone/GPS audio without needing an external FM transmitter. The stereo also has HDRadio tuning, along with an auxiliary audio input and two USB inputs. I copied over 500 songs onto a USB flash drive for my trip to Furry Fiesta in two weeks.
The FoxTrot meet was held at a new location: the Denver Sweet bar. I didn't bring my fursuit this time because I wanted to get a feel for the new location. This bar didn't feel as crowded as Hamburger Mary's, though a few areas had big groups gathered. I'll definitely suit up at future meets because there's a nice second-floor patio at the bar.
