Do you picture things in your mind? Or do you see nothing...

♦ G Y P S Y ♦ SO you probably know about the apple thing (https://junkee.com/aphantasia-apple.....isation/241587) that's been going around lately. Apparently some people see NOTHING when they try to picture an object (like an apple) in their mind???? THIS IS SO CRAZY TO ME because I always picture everything in so much detail, i can turn it, animate it, transform it in my mind. I can remember faces and pictures ive seen before and recreate them almost EXACT in my mind. I see a movie in my head of whats happening in a book when i read it.
MY BF SEES NOTHING. AT ALL.
We talked about this for hours. He hates reading, and maybe THIS IS WHY. cause he cant fucking picture whats happening. HE CANT EVEN PLAY OUT SEXUAL FANTASIES IN HIS HEAD. (hehe) He told me he has to think about and describe in words in his head what is going on or what he has on his mind, like he can describe an apple in his mind but cant picture it, if that makes sense. I CANT IMAGINE what it would be like to not be able to "see" with my mind. I would go crazy, i think. I probably wouldn't be an artist. I was shocked, i literally thought everyone could see things and picture things in their mind.
SO how about you? Do you picture things? OR do you see nothing at all? Somewhere in betweeen? I'm curious how common this is and what you guys think about the opposite!

I'm not really good at controlling my thoughts, its very active.
Thats crazy too, I read everything I type out loud in my head, its crazy for me to think for others its just silent.
Also heard of an theory that having an internal monologue is mainly associated with introverts and that it's at least one of the reasons external conversations get so tiring; because you basically have to expend more energy to communicate with yourself and the person you're talking to, also keeping up with multiple conversations is difficult as is.
I know how they look from experience, and can draw them, the difference is I dont draw from imagination, I draw from properties
I think that women tend to have more visual imaginations and men tend to not.
For reference, I'm an introverted male.
When I read a book, I don't really get the whole idea of "imagining/picturing the scene". When you read a book, do you start to see the scene in your head when you close you eyes? Because for me I put together the scene by its properties, not look. For example, "As she stepped outside, she felt prickles on her feet as the grass seemed to resist the pressure. The sun, brightly shining gave her the calming feeling that the world was a peace."
From this I create the scene where it's a dry day, because the grass is stiff and hasn't rained recently. It's a cloudless day, because nothing is blocking the sun. Putting these together, It's likely spring, a sunny day, and about noon, with calm peaceful weather
But I don't imagine it visually, I imagine the properties/qualities
Unfortunately there are many disabilities that haunt humans. Some can't visualize objects in their head, others can't recognize faces, or write properly even thou then know the grammar. We can't really do anything about it. :-/ I'm just thankful I don' have any disorder.
A way they can practice and get better at mental visualization (that artists do already) is to look at an object for extended periods of time and study it intently. It would also help to stare at said object, then close their eyes and try to recreate what they just saw in their mind.
It improves the more you do it, so you can see more and more detail and bigger pictures and scenes. I unfortunately can't rotate, animate, ect anything in my mind unless I imagine walking through an area but even that is past my current visualization skill level.
