I Hate Being This Way!

In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow. Nothing can become. Nothing changes. So death created time to grow the things that it would kill and you are reborn but into the same life that you've always been born into.
So more than two weeks ago now, I posted a journal detailing my problems with Newegg following an order being delivered to the incorrect address. Eventually I figured out that I needed to talk with UPS about the matter and things have been slow going. Unfortunately there were a lot of moving parts with this whole mess including myself, Newegg, UPS, and PayPal (who I use for a lot of my online transactions). Fast forward to today, I still don't have any progress so I called UPS and talked to a supervisor there. We went over everything that's occurred so far, then he asks me "Have you talked to the shipper about this problem?" I told him yes and I told him what they have told me. He said "That's unusual, because they have grounds to make a lost package claim. You need to contact them and ask them to do that." I told him I would, but I really didn't want to because of how unhelpful they've been. But I went ahead and did it.
The phone conversation with Newegg did not start off well. I relayed the information that UPS gave me about receiving the change of address, but failing to update it (in other words, UPS admitted that the address change didn't go through to their couriers for whatever reason), and that they told me I needed to contact them to make a lost package claim. They put me on hold and when they came back they told me there wasn't anything they could do. I said "No, there is. I just told you what you need to do." to which the representative told me "They told me they won't do it." I requested to be transferred to a supervisor. When I finally got off hold and got to talk to one, he tried to tell me the same damn thing I have been told the past 5+ times that I spoke with them.
I try not to be a nasty person. I have worked in customer service, and I know people who have worked in customer service. It's not pleasant dealing with unhappy people and I try to maintain the position that everyone is doing the best they can but they're berated and yelled at by way too many people and that you catch more flies with honey and all of that. Usually it works. It did not this time. This time, I had to get the nastiest I have ever been with customer service. I yelled and I swore at them. They put the fucking claim through. I got an email with all the information.
I should receive an update in about 7-8 business days. I hate that I had to talk that way to someone to get something done.

I just don't understand what the big deal is. As far as I can tell, it won't cost them anything to file a claim. The worst that could happen is UPS tells them no, but UPS told me several times that the worst case scenario is a repayment will be issued. They just don't WANT to do anything!

Everyone has their breaking point and wits end, don't feel bad you got to yours everyone has their bad days and they happen no matter how much you try to avoid them!
