I'd caution against Alibaba and using China as a route to print. Only because your designs will probably get sold off and reprinted, resold and used by businesses without your consent. Chinese copyright laws are dubious when it comes to working with non-Chinese speaking people and their own business ventures i.e. you in this case. Bottom line; if your IP gets stolen, sold off, whatever you'll have little to no recourse for it.

Ultimately you make the decision but before jumping on board with China I would know your risks, and what you stand to lose if shit gets sideways.

Actually China has some of the most draconian copyright laws on earth, you just have to file your copyright in China. They feel if you don't bother to file in China you don't care if they steal it. Even though they are signatories to international copyright treaties, enforcement is a different question entirely.

I’d also like to find some venders. I was on madmable but their website was recently shut down sadly. I’d avoid furrydakimakura if I were you.

I used to buy a lot from one called HobbyHeart now named MoeMarket only issue was trying to order during Chinese New Year not sure how well they treat artists though https://www.moemarket.com/

In my opinion, the company with the best quality & fabric selection is Inkedfur, but there's controversy in regard to the company.

If you don't mind doing the e-commerce yourself, I've found that alibaba/aliexpress has decent vendors. The I've used is Anime Dakimakura Pillow, through their Aliexpress page. They have a very good selection of fabrics as well. (their Alibaba page)

Oh goddamn, I'm happy I saw your post. Not only for the shady business practices, but the creator/owner being a multi-convicted pedo. I vaguely recall hearing about the guy but I don't think I ever made the connection with InkedFur. I'm happy I've never bought anything from there and now I never will.

Great people to work with, attend a LOT of cons, and have fantastic communication.

Personally I would avoid the others like the plague.

I've bought from FurryDakimakura a couple of times in the past and I didn't have an issue with them either time, although I acknowledge that's only two instances by a single customer out of who knows how many tens of thousands. What confirmed problems do you know of with them? Don't misunderstand, I'm certainly not trying to defend anyone here, I'm just asking for my own future reference.

From other fellow artist's I have heard it is not the best experience, and the cut you get from them is abyssmal. I get far more from Paw-to-Press than I do FD, which works far better for me.

"Not the best experience" goes with what a couple of others have told me as far as the artist side of it. And more money isn't a bad thing either. Thanks for the info. And I could've sworn that I was already following you.. But that's fixed now, my fellow Floridian!
