life updates: some sad, some ok, mostly meh.
First off, lets get the sad out of the way. I ahd to have one of my cats put down last monday. Lexington, our little kitten, turned chonker, that we founs 20 years ago wet and cold in the neighbors yard; was dying. He hurt his leg a few weeks ago but seemed to be doing "better," but I guess... it was the thing that just kicked off the end for him. poor little guy. :(
On the brigher side, now that the weather is changing I'm working to get my garden going! I bought a new raised bed for m y blackberries and been filling it with gravel and dirt and stuff. once I get them moved over I'm gonna bomb the old garden of weeds and plant what I can. With my current jorb, more on that later, I get alot more time off than before so; maybe this year my garden won't die of neglect? :/
ANd now about the jorb, the meh, I lost my job at the country club last fall and had to quickly get a new one. I ended up at a Chewy warehouse making about the same at about the same hours; but oh boy... they are rough hours. Not that I'm on 50+ hours like I was last summer and leading into the death of Executive Chef Bob; no, try 3 consecutive 12 hour days, 5am to 5:30pm! If the name Chewy sounds familiar, its a pet supply corporation with like 7 warehouses across the country! They are, straight up, trying to be the Amazon of pet supplies. From kitty litter, to dog kennels, to buttplugs... I mean doggy chew toys its nuts what we have. Its a jorb and I'm loking to get back into the kitchen soon, the 3am wake up call is brutal, along with I'm totally out of my element driving a forklift in a warehouse that has a fine coating of kitty litter dust EVERYWHERE!
one final thought... NO, I'm not working there to get a discount on dog food to eat. You fuzzbutts that eat pet food... you worry me...
