New PC parts incoming!

Yes, it's probably ill-advised, but I used some of my tax return on a new graphics card and an SSD.
They'll be arriving later this week, as they didn't have either in stock locally.
I think mentioned that I stopped using my desktop PC back around 2016 due to having so much stuff pile up over and around it. Well, even back then it wasn't a very powerful PC, and had been very slowly collecting parts to replace it way back then.
When I finally started using it again, its age had definitely caught up with it, so I used the parts I'd collected (power supply, motherboard, CPU, and RAM) to upgrade it. It's about as fast as my laptop now, but I'm still annoyed by the graphics card (I'm not convinced it's not slowing the PC down under certain conditions) and how noisy the hard drive is. Hence why I bought a new graphics card and SSD.
I've opted for a relatively inexpensive nVidia GeForce 1650 with 4GB memory, which cost me just over two hundred bucks. It should be considerably faster than my old GeForce 550 Ti that had just a single gigabyte of memory. At least, I hope it's faster.
Also, because this is a PC as opposed to a laptop, my plan is to buy a few SSDs as I can afford them, which is a lot easier under Linux than Windows. For my laptop I bought a Samsung 860 EVO 1TB drive, and it's been doing immensely well in there, but I can't quite afford that much this time around, so I only went with the budget QVO version, which is apparently a little slower, but just a bit more than half the price.
I'm definitely going to have some fun when the parts arrive...
