Given how fearful many of you maybe of what's happening in this world right now. I think it's time for some chipmunk advise. It's not the events and bad things that are happening you fear . It's the uncertainty that you are afraid of.
You fear uncertainty because you know that everchangung times will rip you from your comforts of familiarity and place you into uncharted territory where your established perceptions, rules of thumb, and what you know may no longer apply. You will be forced to relearn and rebuild. Depending on who you are and what makes you tick. That process does hurt emotionally and mentally.
Of course you want to avoid emotional pain.which In my humble opinion is allot more agonizing than physical pain. So its understandable that you are afraid of what is to come. You dread the thoughts of having your own little world flipped up side down and transformed into an alien landscape by the shifting sands of time. Maybe the passing of a family member left you scared. Maybe that job loss is bringing on that fear. Maybe ita the mainstream media constantly stiring up doom and gloom causing people to panic over a virus no worse than the flu. Either way things are happening and you are scared.
You try desperately to hold on to the familier. You don't want to let go. You don't want anything not even the advance of time to take what is familier to you away. But the catch of this is the more you resist the constant change the more painful that change will be once you finally realize you have been fighting a losing battle to stay the same and keep your little world the same.
The thing is if you really want to know the truth, I'm talking about the truth, absolute truth, the truth that is the kernel that runs reality itself. The truth is who you think you are, all of your endevors, your ambitions, and the results of all of your work to make your life and the immediate world around you exactly as how you like it, is just a fleeting moment, a quick flash in the passage of time. It comes and goes. Sometimes that moment will persist for awhile or it can disappear as quickly as it came. The truth does not care rather you like it or not because in the end the truth will win .
Therefore rather the truth will make you a stronger and better person or reduce you into a basket case on a one way trip to an insane asylum depends entirely on you and how willing you are to accept the truth, learn and understand what it teaches, and act upon what you have learned and understand.....and be willing to never stop learning and understanding. In short don't be so egotistical that you think are immortal or that the things you have accomplished will last forever.
The truth is flux. The truth is a stream constantly flowing. The truth is the ever changing clouds rolling across the sky. The truth is the restless wind. The truth is the shifting light of the rising and setting sun. The truth's only constant is constant change.
So you will always be faced with uncertainty.
Yes do enjoy the comforts of familiarity...but only for how ever long they last. That all could disappear in the blink of an eye. So always be humble enough to accept and embrace the truth and let it teach you how to let go and adapt to the constant change that is the truth. Once you realize and understand that times are always uncertain, you will be allot better at not being afraid and more able to ride the waves of change to a better you and a better life.
Bottom line is, don't fear. Instead embrace, learn understand , adapt, overcome. Once you can do that much, the truth won't be so painful.

"Okay, so...Copiah and Hinds have cases. That's close to Warren County...I'm slightly concerned, but I can't let panic overtake me, no matter what. If I do become infected, I'll take it one step at a time."
