Somehow fP returned.
To my friends and anyone on my commission queue who's still reading this, I want to apologise for my prolonged absence.
The short explanation is: I'm a stupid idiot baby who bit off more than they could chew.
The long explanation (that I won't blame you for skipping) is that when I started doing commissions, I was in a pretty good place and honestly believed I was handling everything. But I was wrong.
I then kept telling myself over and over that I could just get back into the right mindset somehow and get done what people wanted, but I was wrong about that too, and things kept getting worse to the point that I haven't managed to draw anything at all in months.
So for now, as redundant as it feels to say after so many months, I'm cancelling the commission queue. I will keep the list saved, and if I decide to try again in the future, I'll PM people to ask if they still want to be on it.

If you do decide to open for commissions again in the future, I hope to be one of the first on the queue.
I really hope you don't blame yourself too much and I hope you're kind to yourself about it. I know I only know you through getting art from you and I don't know how much this will even mean, but as someone who's been there I'm really proud that you tried it and also that you dropped the queue and that you wrote this!
I also wanna say that as much as I love the art I got from you, I am sorry if I in any way contributed to you feeling like this. I really hope you get to feel better and that you get to feel good about yourself!
Second, it's perfectly understandable, it's basically a meme on art sites for it to happen. Usually with money going missing from everyone on the list. So you're far ahead of the average there. Again, don't sweat it, just don't become the one who abandons the people who paid while spending their money before you actually earn it.
Third, going forward when if you do contact people don't be afraid of rejecting ideas that might burn you out again. Some people burn out for obligation alone. Some people burn out because of people with ideas not representative of the customer base. Everyone is different on both sides of the fence with commissions, but there are similarities amid groups for sure, so keep your dos and don'ts up to date.
Finally. Don't burn yourself out over comms, or even this kind of art for yourself. Figure out what motivates you, embrace what's fun. If you do contact people, or just open for a free for all again put disclaimers down to give yourself the ways to back out gracefully if something isn't working for you.
Likewise don't be afraid to leave things unfinished. With personal stuff you have more choice when a picture stays a sketch, or something needs to be done again from scratch.
So again, glad you're back and alive in this crazy time.
